Find the answer within….

I have been searching complete web for stories about people all around the globe who actually made it. There are various youtube channels about some successful people talking about their stories. But, still I could not carve out the path to success for me. Just for an example, I have been attracted to music since long time now. I spent almost my complete days listening songs while doing other things in past 8–9 years. I realised that I really love it and want to do something with it. I tried to read about some great musicians I like on wikipedia about their early life on how did they actually stumble upon music. I found that most of them started out quite early in their teens. This disheartens me because I have zero experience with music. I do not know how to play even a single instrument. I started out with guitar this year, and a bit of music theory and I am really enjoying it. I tried to find some people with my kind of experiences and with my kind of situations who are actually trying to do the same thing as me. But, I could not find any single successful musician like that. I think it is almost impossible to find someone with your situations and doing the same kind of thing as you are doing. This is something which makes us unique. It is not our character, not our habits, but our situations. Everyone in this world is given different situations and that makes the trajectory of every single person different. This creates a lots of confusion. Ido not actually have a path to reach a goal which I want. This is the problem associated with every ambition that I have had. There are many people with the same end goal, but none of them has the same situations as mine.

Even if someone lays out a path for me about what they did, I may not have all the resources to actually follow that path. There are a lot of people who actually share how they made it, but there is one factor which completely makes a path out of reach for me. This approach of copying has been embedded into me through the education system of this world. The hack to crack education system is quite easy. Just follow the footsteps of what your seniors did. Read the same books, do related projects and you are gold. There has been a very few unique things which I have done in my life by myself and I am most proud about them. The things which I accomplished depend a lot on my skills and my situations at those point and I realised no one can copy my path one to one to gain the same amount of success which I gained.

Also, the things which I really accomplished, were completely uninspired. I did not look out for how other people did it. I simply jumped into it with zero expectations but with my gut telling me that I was going to succeed. I am not saying that stories of other people won’t help us. It will, but not in finding the path, but in actually learning which mistakes not to make.

We actually have to define a path for ourselves and create a unique story which no one has ever lived. That’s what makes life interesting, even though end result might be same, but it is extremely unlikely to have the same set of experiences in reaching that end goal. The ones who made it also, cannot actually point out the exact set of steps which actually made the difference and separated them from the crowd.

When there are no expectations of winning, then the taste of winning is much more sweeter. Certain things in which I jumped into were purely because of my interests and I had no expectations attached to them. This is what helped me achieve them.

This is where I believe the complete content creation industry is flawed. It gains our attention by showing us the stories of people who actually made it big. But, knowing their story has < 1% effect on how our journey is going to turn out. Still, most of us including me spend a lot of our time searching through the internet to learn about these stories which make us feel pumped or depressed and then finally quit what we actually wanted to do. Most of the videos are general which give advices which can be found written on back of trucks like “Follow your passion”. But, bloody hell, I don’t know my passion. Tell me how to find it. The only way to find passion is to try out different things. I have yet not been able to find one, but I am pretty certain that this is the right way to actually find it. I know I will stumble upon it one day, among various things which I am doing.

I think this advice is applicable to anyone, out there trying to achieve anything in life. This can be in terms of any personal/professional goals in life. Personal goals can be anything, and it can be as simple as losing weight, and professional goals can range from anything like starting a new business/youtube channel or anything else.

If we try to copy someone exact same path, it would be a copy not the original and we know what has more value in this world. It is very important to bring out the originality in whatever we do even though many people are doing the same things.

That’s what defines our beautiful path to success……
